VIVO Indian premier League is a t20 cricket league of India. In 2019, the season 12 of IPL will be held. It can have some delay due to Indian General Elections. The administration of IPL is under BCCI (Board of Control of Cricket in India).
There are eight team in Indian premier league whose names are :-

Delhi Capitals (DC).
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
Mumbai Indians (MI).
These eight teams will compete in 12th season of IPL for trophy. This tournament follows Double- round robin format and playoff, There are total 60 matches in IPL which includes 6 playoffs. In the previous season of VIVO IPL, Chennai Super Kings stolen the trophy from Sunrisers Hyderabad.
